Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva || Top Famous Ganesh Aarti || Jai Ganesh Deva ||HD

An animated art slideshow depicting images of Lord Ganesh the Aryan Vedic demigod of success and wisdom. Animated artwork by Vishnu108. It is set to the Hindi bhajan ~ Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva.
Lord Ganesh the elephant headed deity is worshipped as one of the main Hindu Gods. However, according to Vedic Theology Lord Ganesh or Ganapati is a Deva or demigod. That is to say that he is an empowered Jiva~atma, or materially conditioned soul. Lord Sri Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead is Param~atma the Supreme soul or Supersoul and is never subject to the laws of material nature. Lord Ganesh is respected amongst the Vaishnava devotees of Lord Sri Krishna due to his role as the destroyer of obstacles and bestower of success on the path of bhakti ~ devotion to Lord Sri Krishna. He also acted as scribe to the literary incarnation of Godhead Sri Krsna Dvaipayana Vyasa or Veda Vyasa, the compiler of the Vedas Who appeared 5,000 years ago. In previous ages the Vedas were passed down by aural tradition but due to the advent of this present age of kali~yuga, the intelligence of mankind has become severely diminished and memory very short. In certain circumstances when there is no eligible Jiva~atma for the demigod position then Lord Sri Krishna fulfils that duty through His expansion of Lord Vishnu, The maintainer of our universe.
The son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha has an elephantine countenance with a curved trunk and big ears, and a huge pot-bellied body of a human being. He is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles on the path of devotion to Sri Krishna. He is also worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth.
Ganesha’s head symbolizes the Atman or the soul, which is the ultimate supreme reality of human existence, and his human body signifies Maya or the earthly existence of human beings. The elephant head denotes wisdom and its trunk represents Om, the sound symbol of cosmic reality. In his upper right hand Ganesha holds a goad, which helps him propel mankind forward on the eternal path and remove obstacles from the way. The noose in Ganesha’s left hand is a gentle implement to capture all difficulties.
The story of the birth of this zoomorphic deity, as depicted in the Shiva Purana, goes like this: Once goddess Parvati, while bathing, created a boy out of the dirt of her body and assigned him the task of guarding the entrance to her bathroom. When Shiva, her husband returned, he was surprised to find a stranger denying him access, and struck off the boy’s head in rage. Parvati broke down in utter grief and to soothe her, Shiva sent out his squad (gana) to fetch the head of any sleeping being who was facing the north. The company found a sleeping elephant and brought back its severed head, which was then attached to the body of the boy. Shiva restored its life and made him the leader (pati) of his troops. Hence his name ‘Ganapati’. Shiva also bestowed a boon that people would worship him and invoke his name before undertaking any venture. Ganesha is also the destroyer of vanity, selfishness and pride. He is the personification of material universe in all its various magnificent manifestations.

Ganesha Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated on the birthday (rebirth) of the lord Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati.

It is believed that Lord Ganesh bestows his presence on earth for all his devotees during this festival. Ganesha is widely worshiped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or at the start of travel. The festival, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi (“festival of Ganesha”) is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapada, starting on the shukla chaturthi (fourth day of the waxing moon period). The date usually falls between 19 August and 20 September. The festival lasts for 10 days, ending on Anant Chaturdashi (fourteenth day of the waxing moon period).

During these 10 days, there are traditions and rituals that people perform during the Ganesh Chaturthi Hindu festival. People begin preparing months in advance by making check lists, selecting eco-friendly idols, reading up yummy recipes and thinking of innovating decoration ideas to celebrate the festival in an ostentatious manner. Hindus also follow the rituals in Bringing Home the Ganesha Idol, many of whom choose to perform the Ganesh Staphna (Installation of the Idol) by themselves including performing the Ganesh Visarjan (Immersion).

While celebrated all over India, it is most elaborate in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala and Chhattisgarh. Outside India, it is celebrated widely in Nepal and by Hindus in the United States, Canada, Mauritius,Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Fiji, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana.
