The music video illustrates various images of Lord Ganesha. The masterpiece Ganesh Aarti “Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva” sung by Anuradha Paudwal in traditional music (T-Series) is used in the background. The video is prepared for spiritual and education purpose only, but not for commercial use.
Below is the anglicized version of Ganesh Aarti “Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva” along with English meaning of each stanza.
Jai Ganesh, jai Ganesh, jai Ganesh deva
Mata jaaki Parvati, pita Mahadeva.
Glory to you, O Lord Ganesha!
Born of Parvati, daughter of the Himalayas, and the great Shiva.
Ek dant dayavant, char bhuja dhari
Mathe par tilak sohe, muse ki savari
Pan chadhe, phool chadhe, aur chadhe mewa
Ladduan ka bhog lage, sant kare seva.
O Lord of compassion, you have a single tusk, four arms,
A vermilion mark of on your forehead, and ride on a mouse.
People offer you betel leaves, blossoms, fruits
And sweets, while saints and seers worship you.
Jai Ganesh, jai Ganesh, jai Ganesh deva,
Mata jaaki Parvati, pita Mahadeva…
Glory to you, O Lord Ganesha!
Born of Parvati, daughter of the Himalayas, and the great Shiva.
Andhan ko ankh det, koddhin ko kaya
Banjhan ko putra det, nirdhan ko maya
Surya shaam sharan aye, safal kije seva.
You bestow vision on the blind, chastened body on the leprous,
Children on the sterile, and wealth on the destitute.
We pray to thee day and night, please bestow success upon us.
Jai Ganesh, jai Ganesh, jai Ganesh deva,
Mata jaaki Parvati, Pita Mahadeva…
Glory to you, O Lord Ganesha!
Born of Parvati, daughter of the Himalayas, and the great Shiva.
Ganesha also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom.[8] As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies.

Lord Ganesh the elephant headed deity is worshipped as one of the main Hindu Gods. However, according to Vedic Theology Lord Ganesh or Ganapati is a Deva or demigod. That is to say that he is an empowered Jiva~atma, or materially conditioned soul. Lord Sri Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead is Param~atma the Supreme soul or Supersoul and is never subject to the laws of material nature. Lord Ganesh is respected amongst the Vaishnava devotees of Lord Sri Krishna due to his role as the destroyer of obstacles and bestower of success on the path of bhakti ~ devotion to Lord Sri Krishna. He also acted as scribe to the literary incarnation of Godhead Sri Krsna Dvaipayana Vyasa or Veda Vyasa, the compiler of the Vedas Who appeared 5,000 years ago. In previous ages the Vedas were passed down by aural tradition but due to the advent of this present age of kali~yuga, the intelligence of mankind has become severely diminished and memory very short. In certain circumstances when there is no eligible Jiva~atma for the demigod position then Lord Sri Krishna fulfils that duty through His expansion of Lord Vishnu, The maintainer of our universe.
The son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha has an elephantine countenance with a curved trunk and big ears, and a huge pot-bellied body of a human being. He is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles on the path of devotion to Sri Krishna. He is also worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth.
Ganesha’s head symbolizes the Atman or the soul, which is the ultimate supreme reality of human existence, and his human body signifies Maya or the earthly existence of human beings. The elephant head denotes wisdom and its trunk represents Om, the sound symbol of cosmic reality. In his upper right hand Ganesha holds a goad, which helps him propel mankind forward on the eternal path and remove obstacles from the way. The noose in Ganesha’s left hand is a gentle implement to capture all difficulties.
The story of the birth of this zoomorphic deity, as depicted in the Shiva Purana, goes like this: Once goddess Parvati, while bathing, created a boy out of the dirt of her body and assigned him the task of guarding the entrance to her bathroom. When Shiva, her husband returned, he was surprised to find a stranger denying him access, and struck off the boy’s head in rage. Parvati broke down in utter grief and to soothe her, Shiva sent out his squad (gana) to fetch the head of any sleeping being who was facing the north. The company found a sleeping elephant and brought back its severed head, which was then attached to the body of the boy. Shiva restored its life and made him the leader (pati) of his troops. Hence his name ‘Ganapati’. Shiva also bestowed a boon that people would worship him and invoke his name before undertaking any venture. Ganesha is also the destroyer of vanity, selfishness and pride. He is the personification of material universe in all its various magnificent manifestations.
